2004 Arts and Ideas Parade
Our Ryan tandem
recumbent bicycle, decorated as a Horny Toad. The head is paper mache on
a hockey stick mounted in the bicycle headset. The body is chicken wire
and fabric. It's a 10 foot long Ryan recumbent tandem bike, one of about
300 made in New Hampshire. I've had this bike since 1995. I've taken it
to Europe twice (the bike has nifty couplers that allow me to split it
in half and pack it in a bike box for the airplane). I've ridden it
several thousand miles, including the Boston-New York AIDS ride. You can
